Continue Patronizing S. Rapids Rd Businesses During Construction

Customers of businesses like Bubba's Place, First Chrysler, FleetFarm and the Vincent Group on South Rapids Road will see marked improvement in road conditions by the end of the work day on Wednesday.

County Highway crews will be building a hard surfaced roadway for northbound traffic beginning early Wednesday morning in an effort to assist both motorists and local business customers alike.

Additional traffic control features including signage, barricades and barrels will assist drivers in a safe and comfortable journey from Calumet Avenue to Custer Street.

"We look forward to the return of our usual customers as a result of the County's efforts to help us out in the face of the road construction," Bubba MacDonald commented.

"The good news is that with the big jump the contractor got on the project coupled with cooperation from Mother Nature, the construction could be completed earlier than the expected project completion date of August 11.
